Recently, the Kiwanis Club of Fountain Valley gave Robyne’s Nest students exactly that, a special evening of bowling, pizza, and gift cards that left our teens smiling long after the last pin fell.

This February, during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, we are focusing on a cycle that often stays hidden in the shadows: dating abuse. The statistics are a sobering reminder of why our work is so critical. 1 in 3 teens in the U.S. will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from a dating partner before they become adults.

This past week, our Student Care Team was incredibly busy moving several students into their new "nests," a process that, as anyone who has moved knows, can be quite challenging!

A recent milestone at Robyne’s Nest highlights what is possible when student determination meets community support. One of our students recently bought her first car after months of saving and planning. She did not have to navigate the process on her own.

At Robyne’s Nest, we often say that it takes a village to support our at-risk and homeless youth. As we move through December, our community in Huntington Beach and the surrounding cities of Fountain Valley, Westminster, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach has proven that sentiment true once again.

Our friends at the Orange County Indian Motorcycle Riders Group are revving up to help us stock the pantry! This Saturday, they are doing a massive "Drive Along" through Huntington Beach to pick up food donations that directly support Robyne’s Nest.

Join the Fountain Valley Community Foundation Poker Tournament on Nov. 15 at the Center at Founders Village! It’s a fun night of cards, community, and giving back.
