Day of Dialogue at Fountain Valley High School

Community safety starts with conversation. Recently, Robyne’s Nest had the privilege of presenting at the Day of Dialogue at Fountain Valley High School.

Our mission is to provide the stability and resources necessary for at-risk youth to graduate and thrive. Part of that mission involves educating our students on the modern-day risks that can compromise their futures. We were honored to bring two expert voices to the stage to speak directly with the students:

  • Ralph Ornelas (Retired Chief of Police and former Head of the Narcotics Bureau) shared sobering insights into the fentanyl epidemic and the life-threatening risks currently impacting youth across the country.

  • Sandy Dorton from Project SHIELD led a vital discussion on online safety, specifically the dangers of sextortion and sex trafficking associated with social media presence.

It was an incredible day of learning and open conversation. By bringing these "tough topics" into the light, we help our students build the resilience they need to stay on the path toward graduation.

We are deeply grateful to Fountain Valley High School for inviting us and to our speakers for their dedication to protecting the next generation.
