Robyne’s Retirement
Friends of Robyne’s Nest,
Thank you for everything you have done to support Robyne’s Nest and the many students we’ve had the privilege of serving over the past decade. Because of your generosity and dedication, we have built a resilient, mission-driven organization that empowers youth facing some of life’s greatest challenges.
Today, I want to personally share an important update. While our mission remains strong and ongoing, it will soon continue under new leadership. I have formally notified the Robyne’s Nest Board of Directors of my intention to step down as Executive Director on January 15, 2026.
This planned transition is part of a long-term succession strategy developed in partnership with our Board, and reflects our shared commitment to the continued strength and success of Robyne’s Nest. Our mission—to provide essential resources to high school students with little to no parental support, who have chosen to stay in school and pursue future education or career pathways—remains unchanged.
Over the past decade, I’ve had the honor of working with a passionate and dedicated team to grow Robyne’s Nest into a trusted, community-supported organization. With a strong foundation in place, I believe the time is right to welcome new leadership who can guide our next phase of growth and impact.
This decision was not easy. I remain deeply passionate about the mission and fully invested in supporting our students. I look forward to focusing more directly on the care of our students - the area closest to my heart—and to creating a healthier balance in my own life.
To our donors: You are an essential part of a strong, diversified funding base, and I want to assure you that Robyne’s Nest remains in a stable and secure financial position. Third-party funding continues to be critical to our work, and I anticipate staying involved in fundraising efforts through grant writing and donor engagement.
To our volunteers: Your time, energy, and commitment have been the backbone of our organization. You’ve played a vital role in supporting both our students and our day-to-day operations, and I am profoundly grateful for all that you’ve contributed.
Thank you for walking alongside me on this journey. I look forward to continuing to work with you during this transition and beyond. If you have any questions or would like to talk more about this process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.
If you or someone you know has the passion and qualifications to lead an amazingly impactful organization, you can find the job description here and submissions can be sent to lisafarmer@robynesnest.org.
Gratefully,
Robyne
