Thank You - NCL Pacific Coast Chapter

When local teens come together in service, everyday essentials become powerful reminders that students are seen, supported, and not alone.

This season, members of the NCL Pacific Coast Chapter assembled and delivered more than 150 hygiene kits for students supported by Robyne’s Nest. Packed into the back of an SUV, these bags are headed to youth who are facing homelessness or housing insecurity over the Thanksgiving and winter breaks.

Each kit includes basics many of us never have to think twice about – toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, and other daily essentials. For students already carrying so much, these supplies offer something simple but life-changing: a sense of dignity, stability, and care.

Why Hygiene Kits Matter

For the students Robyne’s Nest serves, access to basic hygiene items can shape how they show up at school and in their community.

  • It helps them feel more confident walking into class and connecting with peers.

  • It supports their health and well-being during school breaks, when regular support may be harder to reach.

  • It sends a clear message: you matter, and your community is standing with you.

These kits will be distributed through our school partners so counselors and staff can quietly place them in the hands of the students who need them most. It’s one more way we’re breaking cycles and changing lives together.

Teens Leading With Heart

One of the most inspiring parts of this project is who made it happen. The NCL Pacific Coast Chapter, part of the National Charity League, brings mothers and daughters together to serve their community side by side.

For this drive, chapter members shopped, sorted, and packed each bag with care before loading everything up for delivery. Their effort does more than fill shelves – it models compassion, leadership, and community service for the next generation.

These young people are learning, firsthand, what it means to show up for their neighbors. That same spirit of service is at the heart of Robyne’s Nest and the students we walk alongside.
