School Pantry and Basic Needs Distribution

Intro

Robyne’s Nest partners with local high schools to help ensure students experiencing hardship have access to essential items such as food, hygiene supplies, clothing, and school necessities.

We work with counselors, administrators, and student support teams to quickly respond to student needs.

What We Provide

Depending on availability and need, distributions may include:

  • Grab N Go Food Pantries - Cup O Noodles, Oats N Honey granola bars, Pop-tarts, peanut butter crackers, Nutri grain fruit bars, miscellaneous snack items as received.

  • On-hand Take-Home Student Food Bags - 1 bag contains: Mac N Cheese, pasta/sauce, cereal, canned chicken or tuna, canned fruits/veggies, soup, peanut butter/jelly.

  • Clothing - includes items such as dress code shirts, interview wear, school-appropriate beanies, sneakers. Special sized clothing is available upon request!

  • Toiletries/Other essentials like blankets and warm coats during winter months, lice kits, beds, etc.

  • Transportation - we supply used bikes with locks and helmets upon request, bus passes are available, helping with drivers license (depending on situation).

  • School Break Student Food Bags (Thanksgiving, Winter & Spring) - emails are sent out to school liaisons about 3 weeks before the break to ask for the number of students to be served. A set of food bags will then be delivered to the school a few days before break for you to send home with your student to ensure they have breakfast and lunch during the school break. When available, gift cards are sent with the bag to purchase perishable items at grocery stores.

  • Adopt A Student Holiday Program - Ensuring that local middle school and high school students, who lack parental support and might not otherwise have a holiday, receive thoughtful gifts. Requests for student information is sent out in November and due the week before Thanksgiving break so that we have adequate time to get to our volunteer Secret Santas! Gifts are then delivered to the school the week before Christmas break for students to pickup.

Our goal is to reduce barriers so students can stay focused on school and their wellbeing.
