Lifeskills - Practical Budgeting with Rylan Mukssood

On May 18, students at Robyne’s Nest took part in a Life Skills Monday session focused on one of the most important tools for long-term stability: budgeting. Led by Rylan Mukssood, the session explored how to apply the 50/30/20 budgeting rule in a way that feels realistic in Orange County, along with practical strategies for tracking daily spending through mobile apps.

Students also learned about the value of opening a high-yield savings account and how small financial habits can build a stronger foundation over time. At Robyne’s Nest, life skills programming is designed to give students real-world tools they can use right away, helping them build confidence, independence, and a clearer path forward.
