Life Skills - Essay Writing

In our Life Skills class this week, Nicole Trani our Student Program Coordinator provided a valuable lesson on basic tips and strategies for essay writing. Nicole guided students through writing three types of essays: narrative, expository, and argumentative. The focus was on visual outlining for a rough draft and students practiced writing a basic, solid five-paragraph essay within 15 minutes.

Supporting and guiding our students in subject matter topics not only provides essential life tools, it also builds self-confidence…something these teens have not experienced in much of their lives.
