The Nest Breakfast Fundraiser

On June 17, nearly 100 friends of Robyne's Nest gathered at Old Ranch Country Club for The Nest Breakfast, presented by Nuvision Credit Union, and raised just under $40,000 to support at-risk and homeless youth ages 14–24 across coastal Orange County, including Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Newport, and Costa Mesa.

The morning's centerpiece was an on-stage conversation between Executive Director Natalie Moser and program graduate Julia Paulus. At 17, Julia was moving between homes and attending her tenth school, doing everything she could just to keep going. On her 18th birthday, she finally asked for help — and found her way to Robyne's Nest.

Julia talked about the small moments that changed how she saw herself — like a Sunday budget check where, for the first time, someone wasn't pointing out what was wrong with her. They were telling her what she was doing right.

Today, Julia holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, and is working toward her LCSW license. She recently referred a young woman she knows into the Robyne's Nest program — paying forward the same belief that once changed her own life.

Because graduation isn't the end of the journey. It's the beginning of what's possible.

“They painted a picture of the life my actions could lead to.”
— Julia Paulus, MSW, Robyne's Nest Alumni

This is what it looks like when a young person has support, stability, and someone who believes in them. Because graduation isn't the end of the journey — it's the beginning of what's possible.
